CLOSING STATEMENT FROM EDITOR IN CHIEF DANI TAUBER
Vulnerary Magazine has been offline for a little while as I tried to figure out what the next phase of the publication should be in the midst of full-time corporate work and needing to care for my mental health as current events irritate my nerves. In the last two months, I have decided the publication is perfect as it was, and it is time to move on to the next big project or idea.
This decision was made around several factors, including not currently having the energy to run a lit mag, changes to my financial situation that make it difficult to continue funding it entirely myself, and a pervasive want to never, ever in my life unknowingly publish AI poetry. It may be the end of an era, but this space will live on thanks to all who supported it since launching in Spring 2021.
Thank you for trusting me with your work, and for helping me shine a little light on the darker parts of the human condition over the years. If you have ever supported VM, know that I appreciate it more than words can express; the reception this space received was so validating, and not just to me but to all who contributed.
I am pulling the financial plug on this website April 1, 2026. Please collect and save your work before then, if you desire to do so. The site should stay online until early 2027, as I have already paid dues, but I am not certain of that and I just want to make sure you are all able to save your stuff.
Stewarding a space for work like this has been a profound experience for me. If you’d like to stay in touch or keep up to date on new work and projects, feel free to look me up. I’m around.
